Tuchel on overall picture
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"I'm just focusing on what we have and get the team to grow together and build a strong group.
"I think we're in a good way. From there we go and cross the river when we're at the river.
"The next one comes in June. Then the most intense period comes in September, October, November when we need to be ready."

Tuchel: Bellingham red was possible
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"It felt a bit strange to go in at half-time with a yellow card. It felt possible but it would've been harsh.
"Straight away we decided to take him out. You could see the huge effort that Jude put into the first game. He did not feel as fresh.
"I didn't want to take the risk so I took him off."

Tuchel happy with subs impact
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"We expect from ourselves to win. We had a situation with Bellingham which reminded us that in any moment you can have a red card and everything is upside down.
"The subs had a huge impact. I was very happy with the attitude and quality that came from the bench."

Tuchel: We will get stronger
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"Not at all. This is normal. You are frustrated for seconds then push the players again. We need to learn from each other.
"It is the first time coaching these players, I need to understand how they behave. It is pretty normal overall.
"I am very happy with the team and the effort. Everyone expects the win but you have to do it and put in the work.
"It does not come by itself. We reduced it to a minimum and we will get stronger from camp to camp."

Tuchel explains winger HT side switch
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"Jarrod struggled to win his one-on-one duels so we changed sides to have an open foot to cross earlier and you don't have to beat the player completely and encourage the players to overload the second post.
"We tried, Marcus tried again on a high level. I was absolutely happy with his performance.
"Then Ebs came in and scored with the right foot because he's more of a dribbler than Jarrod."

Tuchel praises Rashford 'hunger and desire'
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"I did not say I did not like how they played. I said they could have more impact.
"Marcus showed today, especially in the first half, the hunger and desire to go again and again. He was not shy and was more aggressive in his movements.
"He showed the hunger and desire in his abilities. We maybe lacked the support as Jude was central and Lewis-Skelly should support.
"Second half we switched sides but it did not suit him very well. These are the things we need to learn and take away from these matches.
"He did it for the team, which is very good, and we need to understand this is a new style. They come from different cultures and systems. Sometimes,es you play out of position for the national team.
"The process has started and it is a good way to continue."

Tuchel on whether James can be a midfielder
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"If you play a dominant match like today he can be, like in the last 20mins, a hybrid midfielder and help to create an overload because he has the quality on the ball.
"Once it's an open game and a lot of transitions through midfield I'm not so sure it would suit him perfectly.
"There cannot be any doubt about Reece's quality, it's the highest level. We were in close contact in the last weeks. We were clear he'd trained without pause and if he didn't play it was the choice of the club, protecting him. We knew he was in a good space mentally."

Tuchel: Good start but room to improve
England boss Thomas Tuchel:
"Very happy because of the players mainly. The organisation of the camp was top but the players make the difference. They reminded me why I was excited about the job.
"Very good group and we had excellent days on and off the pitch, Positive atmosphere from the start. Everyone wants to be in the starting line-up and wants to come on.
"We need these kind of matches. Not everything falls into place from the first minute.
"There is room to improve but overall, two wins and two clean sheets. We did not allow any big chances in two matches. A lot of positives but room to improve.
"Good start."

England 3-0 Latvia
Thomas Tuchel speaking to ITV:
Better than Friday? "I guess so. It wasn't an easy match, we had to unlock it. I saw a lot of good things, a clean sheet and created a lot of chances from set pieces. A free-kick unlocked it but in general I'm happy with the attitude, energy and desire.
On Reece James goal: "I know the quality he has in that foot - it's amazing. He has every right to be happy and proud of his performance. He's in excellent shape. When we called him up he hadn't had many games but it wasn't due to injury, they were just taking care and managing him. He looks sharp and in-shape. With his quality, there can be no doubt."
On the performance: "In the second half at the start we played without movement and slowed the game down which makes no sense but the second goal was well worked as we had acceleration from a position where they didn't expect it. We encourage the likes of Reece [James], Myles [Lewis-Skelly] and Declan [Rice]. The goal gave us lots of freedom and excitement - everything felt a little easier after that."
Was Bellingham lucky? "Was the first one a yellow? I'm not so sure. We were lucky. We took the decision not to take a risk and take him off."
On Morgan Rogers: "Good. He deserved to start as he trained good and plays very good for Villa. I think in a match when we are so dominant it can suit him more to play from the wing. When we did that he felt more freedom with his first touches and he can work his dynamic movements. I learn about the players and the games - and that's good."

Kane: Tuchel is fantastic
Harry Kane speaking to ITV:
"There were more patterns of play, more chances created. But it was tough as they were playing with 11 behind the ball and making it difficult. The players off the bench made an impact. Overall we can be pleased with two wins and two clean sheets.
"He's [Thomas Tuchel] fantastic. He's settled in straight away and it's a pleasure to have him as coach - the energy, the passion, the tactical analysis has been top draw. We'll get better as we go. He's pleased and we're pleased to have him."

England 3-0 Latvia
Reece James speaking to ITV:
"It's been a long time. I've had a frustrating two and a half years but I'm so happy to get called up and play for my country.
"I saw the wall and felt I could bend it around, thankfully it hit the back of the net. I was surprised it hit the net, I thought the goalkeeper could have got there but looking at the replay it was tough for him.
On Thomas Tuchel: "His ideas are clear. He set his goals and targets from the minute he came in. We have one objective, it starts during these internationals and we need to keep building until the World Cup."

England 3-0 Latvia
Sky Sports' Patrick Rowe at Wembley:
"A routine win for England in the end. It was a more encouraging performance compared to Friday though.
"England threatened throughout and on another day, where the goalkeeper isn't in such fine form, they walk away with a more dominant scoreline.
"The signs are positive, the patterns in play are emerging and players are reacting to what Thomas Tuchel is demanding of them.
"The most exciting part? This is just the start.
"The next international break isn't until June 6. Plenty of work to be done before then, plus the returns of Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer."

England 3-0 Latvia
Sky Sports News' Rob Dorsett at Wembley:
"Very much like Friday against Albania - this was a very professional, unfussy, and solid performance from England. But in truth - it lacked spark against a very poor opponent. Having said that, England should have scored a hatful of goals, with the chances they created.
"There was certainly a better tempo and more urgency across the team, and there were signs that the players are responding to Tuchel’s demands to be more direct, more aggressive, and play with more pace.
"James was good, and his goal was sublime. Rashford was fiery, Rogers was impressive, Guehi was far from his best. Everyone else was probably worthy of 6/10.
"Tuchel will be satisfied but not much more, you suspect."
